Major Samantha Brandon Pyle, MD, US Army and Captain Noah Pyle, US Army were presented Quilts of Valor by Mary Lou Goodpaster of the Kootenai Valley Quilt Guild on Saturday, May 6, 2023. The mission of the Quilt of Valor Foundation is to cover Service Members and Veterans touched by warwith comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.The QOV Foundation began in 2003 and has presented over 330,000 quilts to active-duty service members and veterans. The Kootenai Valley Quilt Guild has presented over 70 QOVs to area veterans. St. John Road Clean-up

Members of St. John Lutheran Church completed their semi-annual Highway Clean-up of their adopted two-mile stretch of Farm to Market Road, just outside of Libby. Members participating in the clean-up Saturday include, from left, George Steffenson, George Jamison, MaryLou Goodpaster, Julie Foote, Nancy Rooney, Mike Rooney, Tim Grotjohn, Dan Howard (kneeling) and Butch Foote. St. John Lutheran Church cleans their adopted stretch of highway, which is registered with the state, twice a year -- once in the spring and again in the fall.
