Welcome Visitors – We are blessed to have you join us for Divine Service today. We kindly request you sign our Guest Book at the back of the church and/or fill out a Welcome Card and place it in the offering plate. Thank You.
Today: Baccalaureate at 4:00 pm. St. John Lutheran Church is hosting.
Next Sunday– Reception to honor Bethany and Aaron Thomas. Bethany graduated on May 10th from Concordia, Seward. Aaron will graduate on May 31st from Libby High School.
We will also say, “Farewell” to Alex and Paul, foreign exchange students. Alex lived with Pastor and family; Paul lived with the Walter Snyder family.
Vacation Bible School – Please pray for willing members to volunteer for Vacation Bible School, July 7th – 11th. Staff is needed by June 8th. s/Freda
Birthday Box – If you have a May birthday, you are encouraged to thank God for your life by donating $.10 or more for each year of life you’ve been given. Box is in the back look for the red bow.
Share Your Blessings – Aaron Thomas will be attending Concordia, Irvine this fall to become a Lutheran School Teacher. As you know, college is very expensive.
At the April Voters Meeting, we discussed how the congregation could lend a hand to help him and his family cover expenses. It was decided that we would encourage all members to prayerfully consider sharing their blessings.
If anyone is willing to contribute, please give him cash or a personal check. Do not put money in the offering plate or write a check to the church for him. If you are only able to help once or twice, that would be great. However, we are praying that, if possible, you make a commitment to help out until he graduates.
Anytime between now and before he leaves for California, he would greatly appreciate whatever amount you are able to give. Or do so on June 1st at the reception.
God Bless! s/Dan Howard, President
