Stewardship Notes: Romans 12:1 – “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”That’s the order: God’s mercies, then our sacrifice. Since God’s mercies are all-encompassing, so is our sacrifice: a total sacrifice, our total selves placed over into God’s service according to how He has called each of us individually to serve in home, church and society.

Welcome Visitors – we are blessed to have you join us for Divine Service today. We kindly request you sign our Guest Book at the back of the church and/or fill out a Welcome Card and place it in the offering plate. Thank You.

Church Picnic to follow Worship. Firemen’s Park. The Collins family is donating meat to BBQ. Bring a potluck item and your own drink. Church is providing table service.

Dear Church Family, I would like to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to play for you and lead service these last four months. Your support and encouragement over these last few years has helped me so much and I can’t wait to come back and show you even more improvement. Best wishes and well regards – Aaron. See you in December. 

Reminder – Still have LOTS of disposable food containers in the Youth Room and parchment paper in the kitchen. Help Yourself! In case you have forgotten, there are a variety of greeting cards in the basement – no charge.

Prayer Shawls – We had four. Thanks to Mary Maurer and her sister, we now have eleven. If you know of anyone in the community that would enjoy one, please take them one. You’ll find them by the elevator along with simple instructions. Contact Freda, if needing help.

Prayer Ambassadors – some of you have mail – check your box.

Connecting Generations: 

  1. Kids – new forms and info are in your mailboxes.
  2. Adults (who participated this past year) – if you haven’t done so yet now is the time to remember your “kid” with a small final gift and more importantly, keep them in your prayers. 

You’re also encouraged to prayerfully consider “connecting” with someone new during the coming school year. s/Ms. Freda

No Host Lunch – Four people enjoyed food and fellowship this past Tuesday. Next month’s lunch will be at the Cabinet Mountain Brewery.
