Weekly Announcements

Welcome Visitors – We are blessed to have you join us for Divine Service today. We kindly request you sign our Guest Book at the back of the church and/or fill out a Welcome Card and place it in the offering plate. Thank You.

Sunday School Staff & Evangelism Meeting today following worship.

Next Sunday – Elders meet and Coffee Hour.

No Host Lunch – last Tuesday, was attended by six people who enjoyed food and fellowship at 4B’s. November lunch is at Pizza Hut.

Pastor Appreciation – let Pastor and family know how much you appreciate them. Tell them in person or send a card, call, or text. You could also bake or buy a treat. Most importantly, remember them in your prayers. 

Thankfeast – in two (2) weeks on November 9th. Hosted by church council. Turkey, dressing, gravy, ham, spuds, rolls, and drink provided. Bring salad, veggie, or dessert. Door prizes.

Advent starts in five (5) weeks. If you would like a 5” x 9” devotional booklet to help in preparing for Jesus’s birth, with entries each day from December 1st through January 6th (each day includes a Bible passage, contemplative message, and a brief prayer), please sign the list in the back of the church. (reduced example on list)

Harvest Party - held last night. Report in next Sunday’s bulletin.

Birthday Box – If you have an October birthday, you are encouraged to thank God for your life by donating $.10 or more for each year of life you’ve been given. Box is in the back – look for the red bow. No checks please. Cash only. Thanks!

October Reading –Library open when someone is here. Books on the Reformation and Martin Luther. You’ll find books on the card table in the back of the church and more in the library. Happy Reading!

Faith Step – Every morning this week, say Luther’s Morning Prayer. Every night before going to sleep, say Luther’s Evening Prayer. Also, thank God for Martin Luther and the Reformation.

Help Urgently Needed: The Altar Guild is in urgent need of new members. We are currently operating with a total of 7 ladies to cover the entire year. Won’t you please consider serving in this rewarding capacity? All new members will be fully trained by an experienced Altar Guild member. This invitation is open to both men and women members of the congregation. If you are interested or would like more information, please speak with Pastor Thomas or Julie Foote. Your consideration is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
